This is the humdinger of all newsletters. I'm sitting in the Nice airport in France after just having signed the papers to purchase our home for the next 5 years, the SV "Discovery", a brilliant Lagoon 570 I spent the last few days falling in love with.

Our goal of sailing the world in style can now be realized. The Best Odyssey has a superb catamaran for our world expedition. She's everything and more we dreamed of having. She's loaded with equipment, has a stunning interior (4 gorgeous double owner's cabins + 2 crew), plenty of storage for all our toys, dive compressor…the list goes on and on. Discovery currently lies in Italy. I'll be making the Atlantic crossing soon after you read this to begin our itinerary in the Caribbean. Check Discovery out.

On the other side of the world over the last three weeks Jody has had the difficult job of interviewing a number of incredible candidates to be our chef. We received applications from all corners of the globe and narrowing them proved a painstaking task. But in the end there was one that really stood out. Her cooking has been written up in magazines, her references impeccable, and she has more sailing miles than most true sailors get in a lifetime, on a wide range of boats. We'd like to welcome the third member of our team, Trisha Lafferty. We're thrilled to have Trisha's energy and enthusiasm onboard, and I know our owners and guests will be as well.

I can't close without a final invitation to join us.
