Marquesas Exploration Nuku Hiva and Ua Poa II (complete boat)

The Marquesas is one of those places you can only visit on a boat. Back in 2007, we landed here after a three-week crossing from the Galapagos, and we instantly fell in love with the beauty of the islands and its people.

The Marqeuasas trips are different from all our other trips. It is an island sailing and nature and culture trip with some occasional kiting(due to the fact that there are no reefs and lagoons around the islands). The landscape is spectacular. This group of islands is one of the remotest in the world and so worth the visit. Thor Heyerdahl (KON-TIKI raft)started his adventures here when he tried to spend a year "back into nature' in 1937. Later he made a raft and sailed/drifted from South America to French Polynesia.

We'll pick you up in Nuku Hiva, go around this majestic and rugged island, and visit desolate lush green bays and ancient sites with tiki statues. Then a short sail to Au Poa for some kiting and winging and exploring this island with its towing mountains. We finish the trip in Nuku Hiva again, with its majestic, rugged landscapes and the Hakaui Valley, with its stunning waterfall. This trip is your chance to meet a special part of the world.

Getting there: International flight to Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) on United, or Air Tahiti Nui, then domestic island flight on Air Tahiti to/from Nuku Hiva.
